This policy explains what personal information CasinoScouters ("we") collects through casinoscouters.com and our newsletter, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
Who is responsible

What we collect when you subscribe
- Your email address.
- The province or territory you select.
- Your confirmation that you are of legal gambling age.
- A record of your consent: the exact wording you agreed to and its version, the date and time, your IP address and your browser's user agent.
- Whether and when you confirmed your email address.
- How you reached us, such as campaign tags in the link you followed and an advertising click identifier.
- Your language preference.
We do not ask for your name, date of birth, payment details or identity documents.
Why we collect it
- To send you the newsletter you asked for.
- To send information relevant to where you live, and to hold back content that should not be sent to your province.
- To keep evidence of your consent, as Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) requires.
- To prevent abuse of the signup form.
- To understand which sources bring subscribers to us.
Cookies and measurement
Analytics and advertising measurement tools are switched off by default. They only run if you turn them on in the cookie settings, and you can change your choice at any time from the link at the bottom of every page.
- Analytics (Google Analytics): pages viewed and actions taken on the site.
- Advertising measurement (Meta): tells Meta that a visit, a signup or a confirmed subscription followed an ad. If you allow this, we may share an advertising click identifier and a hashed, non-readable version of your email address with Meta for measurement.
Without your choice we store only what the site needs to work, such as your cookie preferences.
Who processes information for us
- Cloudflare: hosting, security and storage of subscriber records.
- Twilio SendGrid: delivery of our emails, including whether an email was opened.
- Google and Meta: only if you turn on the matching cookie category.
These providers may process information outside your province and outside Canada, including in the United States, where it is subject to the laws of that country.
We do not sell your personal information.
How long we keep it
We keep your subscription record while you are subscribed. After you unsubscribe, we keep your email address on a suppression list so that we don't contact you again, and we keep the consent record for as long as needed to show that we complied with the law. Unconfirmed signups are deleted after a limited period.
Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email.
- Change your province or language on the email preferences page.
- Ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you.
- Withdraw consent to optional cookies in the cookie settings.
- Complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or to your provincial privacy regulator.
Age
The newsletter is for adults of legal gambling age in their province or territory. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell subscribers by email before the change takes effect.
